The Americans just sabotaged the Nord Stream I and II pipelines. Apparently someone in Germany seriously considered bringing the Russian gas back and the Americans just couldn’t allow such a thing. The Americans probably decided that the current government in Germany will not last for long and hardware solutions are more reliable than the political ones.
Europe is permanently fucked now, if anyone had any doubts about that.
But now that the precedent had been set, I would expect the Russians to return the favour.
I think the Russians are very carefully weighing their response. The ramifications are enormous.
They would deny all the bullshit about Russians being involved in this as in previous cases like Skripal being poisoned with Novichok or Litvinenko being poisoned by drinking tea with extra dash of polonium or that most recent ridiculoous allegations of Russians shelling NPP Zaporozhye or performing Bucha massacre. They would call for an independant and objective expert international investigation which would be swiftly brushed off by Murica and its minions. Or maybe they will skip this time that point as it’s totally useless and skip to … ?
People in the West are so fucking stupid and brainwashed that most of them actually believe all that nonsense, because the alternative means to understand that it’s their beloved America and Britain doing it all, but that’s not what I had in mind.
If this claim is made and proven, America is an international terrorist state. Germany would have to do something about it. Europe would have to do something about it; therefore, they’ll just blame the Russians as usual and keep sucking off the Americans. The important thing is, will Russia just let this one slide because they don’t want a distraction, or will they make a big stink about it?
If anything, the Russians will have a stronger impression that America is a rabid dog that needs to be put down, or there will be no peace for anyone.
